Aastha Social Foundation, Ratnagiri, is a dedicated NGO committed to the holistic rehabilitation of the Divyang (specially-abled) community. The foundation serves as a pillar of support, ensuring that individuals with physical and intellectual challenges lead a life of dignity and self-reliance. By providing essential medical therapies, special education, and legal advocacy, Aastha acts as a vital bridge between special needs and true social inclusion.
The foundation’s journey began with the vision and sacrifice of Mrs. Surekha Pathare. In 2008, after discovering that her son, Aalhad, was diagnosed with Autism, she made the courageous decision to resign from her stable position at the Zilla Parishad. Driven by a mission to help other children facing similar challenges, she established the Aastha Social Foundation on October 23, 2008, turning a personal struggle into a community-wide movement.
For the past 15 years, the foundation has been tirelessly serving society through various welfare projects. Beyond just rehabilitation, the organization focuses on empowering individuals to become independent members of society. Today, Aastha stands as a testament to perseverance, continuing to transform the lives of the specially-abled community in Ratnagiri through compassion and dedicated service.
Securing dignity and social inclusion for every individual through a barrier-free environment.
At Aastha Social Foundation, our mission is to break down the barriers of social and physical limitations. We aim to foster an inclusive environment where individuals with disabilities are not just supported, but celebrated. Through community awareness and grassroots intervention, we work tirelessly to ensure the rights, health, and happiness of the differently-abled community in our district.
Empowering the district's agriculture, fishing, and local industries through transparent services.
