Azad Bakers Pvt. Ltd. was established in 1947 by Late Abdul Kadir Gafoor Thakur, under the name Azad Hind Bakery. At a time when bakery products were neither common nor widely accepted in India, Abdul Kadir had the courage and vision to introduce high-quality baked goods crafted from self-developed recipes rooted in traditional cooking. His guiding principles — uncompromising quality, customer satisfaction, and affordability — laid the foundation for a legacy that continues today.

In 1965, his sons Mr. Abdul Latif Thakur and Mr. Mahmood Thakur joined the business. Abdul Latif played a key role in standardizing recipes and refining production, while Mahmood focused on sales and formalizing business operations. Together, they expanded the business and established Azad Bakers in 1985 with their sons, Mr. Hanif Thakur and Mr. Ashfaque Thakur.

In 2006, the enterprise was restructured as Azad Bakers Pvt. Ltd., setting the stage for further growth and modernization. The next generation brought renewed energy and direction — Mr. Hanif Thakur led production operations, while Mr. Ashfaque Thakur and Mr. Irfan Thakur spearheaded marketing and business development. Their efforts took the company to the next level, introducing advanced technology, sustainable practices, and the successful launch of the flagship brand Swadish.

Today, the legacy continues with the involvement of the youngest generation — Asim Thakur and Salik Thakur — who bring fresh ideas, digital sensibilities, and a forward-looking vision.
